  1. What is a "MOM"?
MOM is an acronym for Mail Order Marijuana providers, services that enable their customers to order cannabis ("marijuana") through the internet.
  2. What is OptiMOM?
OptiMOM is a free aggregator of mail order marijuana providers.
  3. Is OptiMOM legal to use?
Yes*. We simply allow users to post sites in which you can purchase cannabis, we are in no way connected, affiliated, employed or responsible for the stores listed on our site.
  4. Is OptiMOM free?
Yes, it is totally free and will always be free. In the future there may be additional, premium features but those will be additional features and not previously-free features being revoked.
  5. Is OptiMOM anonymous?
Only as much as we're able to be. We allow users to publish anonymously (opt-in). We do not track users, ask for minimal information, host no advertisements nor log any data. We can not guarantee internet service providers or employers won't track the pages you visit.

For additional anonymity, we recommend using a VPN.
  6. Do you track users in any way?
Again, we do not track users, ask for minimal information, host no advertisements nor log any data. The only bit of data we store is basic profile information (that you provide) and a history of edits (much like Wikipedia) so things can be rolled back/monitored should a page be sabotaged or inaccurate.
  7. How do I add a store?
First, make sure you are registered and logged in. Next, visit the Add New Store page, accessed by clicking "Add" on the navigation bar and selecting "New Store".
You will be prompted for information about the store. Please make sure to provide as much information as possible, as accurately as possible.
  8. How do I update a store?
Again, make sure you are registered and logged in. Next, visit the store in question's page and click on the "Edit" button (displayed as on tablets).
You will be prompted for information about the store. Please make sure to provide as much information as possible, as accurately as possible.
  9. How do I prevent users from updating my own store?
Users can only update stores and deals that have not yet been claimed by their owner. To claim your listing, visit your store page and click "Claim", located in the sidebar. You will be prompted to follow a few steps to verify their ownership. Once verified, only the owner will be able to update the page.
We do plan to allow users to submit updates to be approved by the store owner in the future.
  10. How do I add a deal?
First, make sure you are registered and logged in. Next, visit the Add New Deal page, accessed by clicking "Add" on the navigation bar and selecting "New Deal".
You will be prompted for information about the deal. Please make sure to provide as much information as possible, as accurately as possible, including a link to the product's deal page on the original website.
  11. How do I update a deal?
Again, make sure you are registered and logged in. Next, visit the deal in question's page, either via the Deals page or the store's page, and click on the "Something wrong with this deal? Click here to edit" text, located at the bottom of the modal.
You will be prompted for information about the store. Please make sure to provide as much information as possible, as accurately as possible.
  12. Why is my deal limited to 7 weeks?
On OptiMOM we maintain the stance that if a product is permanently priced down then it is not on sale but rather the product's actual price.
To prevent this from happening on our site, we require all deals to run for a maximum of 7 weeks without intervention. Upon the completion of the 7 week window the deal won't be deleted but simply removed from search results and store pages. You can easily edit the start and finish dates of the deal to re-active it after the original window has run out.**
  13. Why do some deals say "FRESH" and others "NEW"?
Deals marked "NEW" are simply that, new deals. Deals that are marked "FRESH" are deals that have been previously posted, expired and, then some time later, re-activated.
  14. Why do some external links to store end with "?ref=#"?
OptiMOM is completely free of charge to our users but our servers and time are not so if a MOM support referrals we will try to use them. We are simply trying to earn a little bit of money to keep the project going or at least let us get a little high while we work.
While OptiMOM may use affliate links or referral codes, we are actually not affliated*** with these sites nor does them having an affliate program affect or alter how we present or rank their stores.

*: Within Canada only.
**: This only applies to product (flower, concentrates and edibles) deals and not to general or daily deals.
